OUR beliefs
King James Bible
We believe the Authorized King James Version Bible (1611) is the inspired Word of God, without error, infallible, and when taken in context is the highest authority, giving to man the mind of God. The only Bible given to English speaking people is the Authorized King James Version (1611) and is the only Bible to be used in this church. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:5-6; Revelation 22:18-19)
The Triune God
We believe there is one God eternally existent in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (I John 5:7)
The Devil
We believe Lucifer was created an arch angel, but he rebelled against God, left his first estate and became the Devil. (Ezekiel 28:13-19)
Hell
We believe in the literal place called Hell and the Lake of Fire, a place of eternal punishment and torment for sins, created for the Devil and his angels. (Matthew 25:41; Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 20:10-15)
The Fall of Mankind
We believe Eve was deceived by Satan, causing she and Adam to sin against God, making them sinners and causing their children and all of mankind to be born into this world as sinners in need of a Savior. (Genesis 3; I Timothy 2:13-14; Romans 5:12-21)
Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God in human form, conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus lived a sinless life. Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for the sin of all humanity, was buried and rose again for our justification, and become the only Savior of all mankind. (John 1:14; John 14:9; Luke 1:26-38; II Corinthians 5:21; I Peter 2:22; Romans 5:6-8; I Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14, 20; I Peter 1:18-19; Revelation 1:5)
Need of Salvation
We believe that all mankind must be saved or born again by repenting of their sins and by faith and through God's grace believe and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. Salvation is the Gift of God through His Son Jesus and cannot be merited by rituals or good works but is by grace. (John 3:3-36; Galatians 2:8-10; Romans 10:9-13)
Indwelling of the Holy Spirit
We believe that when a person receives Jesus and is saved, they are baptized into the body of Christ and indwelt by the Holy Spirit. There is but one baptism of the Holy Spirit but many fillings. (Matthew 3:11; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:13)
Baptism
We believe that when a person receives Jesus and is saved, they are to follow in believer's baptism, fully submerged in water, not for salvation, but for a testimony of salvation and a good conscience towards God. There are two ordinances for the New Testament Church for people after they are saved. One is believer's baptism in water, and the second is partaking of the Lord's Supper or Communion. (Acts 8:36-37; I Peter 3:21)
Good Works
We believe that good works are to be in the life of every believer not for salvation but to witness the gospel to the world and manifest the presence of Christ in our life. We also believe the saved will be rewarded at the judgment seat of Christ for the deeds done in this body. (I Corinthians 3; Titus 3)
Rapture
We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture. The whole Church will be translated into Heaven before the tribulation period. (I Corinthians 15:51-58; I Thessalonians 4:13-18, 5:9; Revelation 3:10)
The Millennial Kingdom
We believe in the one thousand year reign, or the millennial reign of Jesus on the earth. (Revelation 20)
Pre-Millennial Return
We believe in the pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ to the earth. (Zechariah 14; Matthew 24:27-41)
