I am the 7th generation of my family to live in the Smoky Mountains. Being born and raised here, I was blessed of God to be allowed to be a pastor in the mountains. I was saved at the age of 21 in the spring of 1984. My wife and I were married later that same year in September. After 9 years of serving the Lord at Wears Valley Independent Baptist Church as a Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher, the Lord began to deal with me about the call to preach in the spring of 1993. After several months of prayer, I surrendered to preach on December 8, 1993. I was ordained at Little Cove Baptist Church October 12, 1996. In October of 1998 after a month of "candidating " at Conner Heights Baptist Church, I was led by the Lord and voted in as the pastor with an unanimous vote. I have been serving our Lord under His power and leadership at Conner Heights Baptist now for over 26 years. I am truly Blessed of God to be a Mountain Preacher in one of the most visited places in Tennessee.
